Pigeons, “Rats with wings”, cop a lot of hate. For being dirty, thriving in our own debris. In our city lives they’re one of the few wild animals we will see, and we hate them for their success in our filth. Really they’re just like you and I; scratching and surviving, living just enough for the city. I know they’re not the ones to blame for the grime, they’re not the ones I hate. They get my respect for making a life in this mess so far removed from real nature that we forget we are animals too. This ones for the pigeons.
