description
Salvador Dalí (Figueres, 1904 - 1989) was a extraordinarily imaginative artist, revolutionary icon of the Surrealist movement and one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century. Influenced by Freud, Cubism, Futurism and metaphysical art, many of his fantastical and nightmarish works explored the unconscious world of thoughts, dreams and perception. Dalí's expansive artistic repertoire included film, sculpture, and photography, and he also contributed to fashion and theater. Dali's art has been called the epitome of Surrealism. His best-known work, The Persistence of Memory, was completed in 1931. Don't miss Salvador Dalí's artwork inspired tattoos.
